 Despite Mother Nature's best efforts to derail everything, Braden's first birthday party (celebrated 10 days early, as we'll be on vacation during his actual birthday) went off without a hitch. The rain stopped just in time for grilling out, and even a round of croquet. Thanks to everyone who came and made it a memorable day. Braden seemed to have a ball playing with his new toys, hamming it up for the crowd by standing up and taking his first step in front of everyone completely unprovoked, and especially, eating his cake! I posted some pictures, but if you have others, please email me, as our camera was stuck with the flash off, causing most of ours to come out a blurry mess.
